Potato and gravy with chips from KFC.  We've got one a two minute walk from my house.  Very handy!

Here's a sample of the dreams I've had over the last few weeks:

1. I was on an old wooden sailing ship.  There were five crew members including me.  There was a storm brewing, but one member of the ship insisted on going further out to see because he was trying to catch a whale.  We let him leave in a lifeboat.  The rest of us caught sight of an island covered in palm trees.  I look over the side of the boat and the water is clear.  No blue or dirty tinge, but clear like a glass of tapwater.

2. An unseen Salman Rushdie ordered me out of whatever country it was I was in.  Myself and a bunch of others banded together to escape.  There was a lot of crawling under barbed wire and running between buildings.

3. Tony Martin had a new radio show.  It was on at dinner time and I had to listen to it through a dvd player.  People wouldn't be quiet enough for me to listen properly.

WTF brain?

Been on break for a week now.  Getting through some assignment work but haven't started any revision from the first half of the semester at all.  At least I only have four exams this time round.  Pity that one of them is worth 100% of my topic grade.

Good things about the holidays definitely include reduced travelling time.  I can now divide the two hours a day I save between piano and drum practise.  Took advantage of Allen's Music sale to get the piano/vocal score to Avenue Q and The Lord of the Rings!  They're a little distracting from the technical work I should be practising though.

Am looking forward to the start of IPL on One.  Pity it can't be played in India - I feel bad for all the fans who will be missing out.

Being called to go set the table.  I probably can't take my minke rug to do that though.  Expect there to be much whining about the cold come winter.

Just scared my family half to death by squeeing to the point of crazy after seeing the Merlin coming soon ad on Channel 10.  

Dad: (to Mum) Feel free to come to work with me.
Mum: Don't worry she'll flake soon.
Sister: Can you not act normal?

Didn't make proposed bed time.  Must try harder. 

Apart from repeating "I really don't think I'll like it" over and over again, I couldn't find a gentle way to tell my friends I don't have any plans to read Twilight now or ever, so guess what book I'm stuck "giving a shot" over the weekend.  I'm happy to sit and listen to them go on about it - their enthusiasm uplifting, but I don't want to have to read it for myself.

Weekend should be a good one though.  Only have a 7 hour shift on Saturday and will spend the evening watching Australia with the family (Mum and Dad haven't seen it ye).  Then on Sunday, it's Asterix and the Olympic Games at the French Film Festival.

Currently searching for farm images to cut and colour for clinic tomorrow.  Aiming to be in bed in an hour.

- Clinical educator informed us that she has only been thrown up on "5 or 6" times when testing the gag reflex.  There's something to look forward to.  Keep reminding myself I'll only have to endure 6 months of an adult placement next year before never subjecting myself to that kind of work again.

- Have remained strong and not spent money on any spontaneous Fringe goings.  Everyone uses the argument "it's cheap tuesday/on special" but all of the "cheap" would soon ad up.  Shows I have seen have all had something going for them, so that's a plus side.

- Am reading Let The Right One In.  I don't often venture into the horror/vampire genre, but this is good. 

- Yay for Aussie cricketers - back on top of the world!

- Have been spending spare moments poking around in the Merlin fandom.  Hello to new friends from the recent meme!   Am wanting to post collective thoughts on season 1.  Have come to the conclusion I like Merlin much more then Robin Hood (which I like alot).

- Speaking of Robin Hood, have been re-watching series 2 and wouldn't be surprise if when the show comes to an end Gisborne goes mad and kills them all and the sings "I'm the king of the castle, you're the dirty rascals."  That would be a logical conclusion.

- My fail...
